Chapel Textiles, Leicester MA
These pictures are of an old mill complex near my home. After a little
research I found out that it was originally called Chapel Textiles and opened
around 1900. Some time around World War II the mill became Worcester Spinning
and Finishing. In 1994 the mill suffered damage from a fire, closed and was
boarded up. The building has been for sale at various points since then but
remains vacant and now shows adverse effects from the fire and exposure to the
elements as evidenced by the pictures.
There are holes in the roof, debris visible in the open windows and bricks
falling from the chimney. The only thing still intact is the sluice way where
the water that powered the mill runs under the building.
I DON'T GIVE OUT LOCATIONS. I DON'T KNOW IF THE BUILDINGS ARE FOR SALE. I DON'T KNOW IF THE BUILDINGS ARE STILL STANDING.
