Susquehanna School For Boys

This school was built between 1898 and 1902, which it opened. Nestled 200 ft. above the river on the cliffs. Stone for the buildings was excavated from the side of the hill which was granite. One man's dream and a prominent individual of the community and county set his sights on property. His wealth was came from the granite and he devoted his time and money to the town. The school had 6 master cottages and housed also the children. Today the badly decomposed and rotting buildings were demolished. All entrances at this time are sealed with cinder blocks (which you will see in one of the pics). The school closed in 1979 and campus was relocated elsewhere in the county. Rehab is going on at this time.

I DON'T GIVE OUT LOCATIONS.  I DON'T KNOW IF THE BUILDINGS ARE FOR SALE.  I DON'T KNOW IF THE BUILDINGS ARE STILL STANDING.
