Fort Constitution New Castle, NH
Fort Constitution or also knows as
fort William and Mary is located right on the mouth of Portsmouth
harbor in New Castle, NH.
Fort constitution is supposedly where the first victory of the American
revolution took place and was built as well as many other forts in the area to
protect the colonists. The Fort is on U.S coast guard property but is still
accessible 8am-4pm as long as visitors follow the designated blue line through
the coast guard base to the fort. Recently the fort and the Portsmouth harbor
lighthouse which abuts the fort was investigated by T.A.P.S (The
Atlantic Paranormal Society) thought loads of evidence was caught but
they didn't have substantial evidence to claim the area to be haunted or not
haunted.
