Abandoned Gold Mine

"Hello,

I came across this abandoned mine in Eureka, NV. I work as an engineer in a gold mine a few miles away and never noticed that this mine existed! Eureka is full of historic mines, ghost towns and abandoned stuff. I moved there a 2 months ago, so I will have plenty of time and opportunities to explore the area.

I was only able to take a few shots, because a (friendly) security guard came and asked me to leave, for my own safety. Needless to say, I'll come back!

FYI, this mine was flooded in 1966 and is closed since. The house on the 3rd picture was built in 1880-ish and was renovated in the early 40's. A window was open, so I might be able to sneak in and take a few pics."
